Q: How long does framing take?
A: We work to a one week turn around as standard – but can offer an express service on request.
Q: Do you stretch needlework and tapestries?
A: Hand stretching of all fabrics is included in the price of our bespoke framing.
Q: What kind of mount board do you use?
A: All our mount board is acid free board.
Q: Do you have any glass that will stop fading?
A: We can offer museum glass which has an invisible layer of gold that prevents ultra violet rays damaging work – price on application.
Q: Do you restore oil paintings?
A: Yes - we can restore oil paintings and repair torn canvass. We have carried out work for local museums.
Q: Can you clean marks on watercolours?
A: Most marks on watercolours, called foxing, can usually be cleaned – we would need to see the piece of work to assess the damage.
Q: Can you frame football or rugby shirts?
A: Yes - we can fit these into any frame, the shirts are tagged onto a coloured background of your choice. Photographs and wording can also be added.
Q: Can you frame medals?
A: Yes - we make bespoke medal cases to size and to suit individual requirements. These can be made so the medals can be removed if needed.
Q: If I am unsure of what I need, will you be able to advise me?
A: Yes - our fully trained staff have years of experience and will guide you to a solution that will enhance your work and suit your requirements.
Q: Can you frame wedding bouquets or wedding cake toppers made from icing?
A: Yes, we can make bespoke cases to protect your flowers so you can enjoy them for many years.
Q: Can you frame unusual objects?
A: We can frame anything – from pacemakers to football boots, designer bags to record collections, greyhound racing jackets to jewellery making tools. You name it – we frame it.
Q: Can your repair or reproduce old photographs.
A: Unfortunately we do not offer this service.
Q: Do you send items elsewhere for framing?
A: No, all work is carried out on-site in our own workshops.
Q: If I leave items of value are you insured?
A: We are fully insured.
